The Reporter has confirmed with President of the Cycling Federation of Belize Orson Butler that they are aware of a video, gone viral, which shows Wasani Castro being pulled by his service vehicle during the recent Cross Country Cycling Classic.

Butler explained that in his view that would count as an automatic disqualification for Castro, who placed 12th in the Classic, but the final decision is up to the officials who will be meeting later today to make a final determination.

To Mr. Castros benefit, a cycling professional has confirmed some official international rules in cycling, which states that a rider that was involved in a spill, may get the assistance of his support team to get from the point of the accident to wherever the peloton or other riders has progressed in the race.
