Two men, Germaine Joseph and Santos Eduardo Lopez, have been arrested for separate stabbing incidents, both of which happened in St. Mathew’s village recently.

Joseph, 30, a construction worker of Roaring Creek village was charged with ‘attempted murder’ and ‘use of deadly means of harm’, which he allegedly committed against Nelson Twist on June 30th.

Twist alleges that on the night of the attack, he was attending a family function in the village when he got into an argument with one of his sisters and two men interviened and stabbed him up to seven times to his body, one of which punctured his lung.

In the second incident, on July 3rd, business man Yunguang Ruan was beaten unconscious by a club wielding man who pounced on him while he was closing M & S nightclub in St. Matthews village.

Lopez, 23, was identified as the thief who stole an assortment of items and a vehicle before escaping. Santos was charged for robbery on July 3.
