Jamaica is considering to reform its drug laws. That country’s Justice Minister, Mark Golding, has said that the cabinet supports a proposal that allows for the possession of up to two ounces of marijuana.
Golding also said that marijuana would be decriminalized for religious, medicinal and scientific purposes and it is expected that the Jamaican parliament will approve the changes by September.
“It is not only wrong but also foolhardy to continue with a law that makes it illegal to posses ganja and its derivatives for medicinal purposes,” said Golding.
