8 Natural Doctors
1. Doctor Nutritious diet – The phrase ‘nutritious diet’ mean exactly what it says, a diet that is nutritious for one’s health. From the time of creation, fruits, nuts, vegetables and grains have been in abundantsupply for the strength, health and well being of mankind. These foods prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible, and at the same time while been palatable and nutritious, constitute the best diet to maintain health and prevent degenerative diseases. The Ministry of Health through its comprehensive Food-Based Dietary Guideline for Belize also reminds us, that we should strive to eat a wide variety of these foods with a few variations at one meal. In addition, it’s best to eat three wholesome, balanced meals everyday.
This means that we should avoid snacking and allow our food to go through its proper digestive process with out any interference. This also suggests that we eat only 4 to 5 hours after each meal and avoid snacking. This is very important, because snacking delays digestion, leading to fermentation and putrefaction of food in our digestive system.

The Pan American Health Organization suggests, that the major cause of this high rate of increased overweight and obese individuals around the world, is due to a continuous sedentary lifestyle, over-eating and a lack of daily exercise.
The American Lifestyle Center recommends that 30 minutes of daily exercise along with ‘Dr. Nutrition’ could reduce weight gain considerably and alleviate many of the degenerative diseases that come along with it.
Also consider the fact, that there are about 50 half an-hour in a day, and so this recommendation challenges us to use only 2% of our daily activity in some form of exercise regime. Some exercise activities include, brisk walking, gardening, jogging, cycling or going to a wellness/fitness facilitiy and doing some aerobic, cardio and strength training workout programs. Be reminded to warm up and cool down after each exercise activity.
3. Doctor Water – In addition to Dr. Nutrition and Dr. Exercise, Dr. Water is also critical for the maintenance and continuity of human life on earth. Scientific research reveals that our bodies are made up of about 70% water.
All our basic life processes, including respiration, circulation, digestion, absorption, assimilation and elimination, to name a few, are so dependent on the continuous supply of clean, purified water.
