Eleven persons were injured, five of them critically, when the vehicle they were travelling on the Phillip Goldson highway on Thursday turned over.
The white pick up truck, driven by Fernando Chan, a resident of Ranchito village, Corozal, had a right rear wheel blow-out between miles 34 and 35.
The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m., as the victims were returning from a funeral in Belmopan.
Those in critical condition at the KHMH are: Eloyma Pott, Daniela Pott, Ventura Pott, Luis Pott and the driver, Fernando Chan.
The other six injured are: Iraida Ramirez, Elena Chan, Andy Chan, Ruby Urbina, Alma Urbina and Diana Pott who were transferred to the Northern Regional Hospital (NRH) in Orange Walk Town.
Only one patient, Diana Pott, remains hospitalised at the NRH. The others have been treated and released.
