Police vehicle knocks down 2 police officers near precinct

By Marion Ali, Staff Reporter

Two members of the Belize Police Department are being treated at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), after a police pick-up truck knocked them off a police motorcycle they were driving on Friday morning.

The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. on Allenby Street, just around the corner from the Precinct I station at the corner of Amara and Kutt Avenues in Belize City.

It is not yet clear which of the officers driving was at fault, but the motorcycle was left mangled and wedged under the front portion of the mobile vehicle. The names of the members involved are not yet known.
