Representatives of seven municipalities across the country of Belize met in Belmopan on Wednesday to present their development plans on how to modernize and improve their respective communities.
The presentations were made at a National Workshop at the George Price Center.
The workshop, which lasted from 9:00am- 4:30pm, had representatives from Belmpan City, Benque Viejo del Carmen, San Ignacio/Santa Elena, Corozal Town, Dangriga, Orange Walk Town, and Punta Gorda.
The presentations all pertained to the Municipal Development Planning Initiative.
As of January this year each participating municipality engaged in advancing aspects of the municipal plans.
In this regard, residents who wish to get copies of their municipal development plans are advised to contact their local councils.
