Prime Minister Dean Barrow announced this week that there will be more persons charged due to the criminal activities of William Danny Mason.
Barrow announced on Monday that after the Attorney General’s Ministry investigated Mason’s forged birth certificate, the Ministry determined that there was wrongdoing on the part of several employees.
“The AG in fact caused an investigation to be carried out at the Vital Statistics Unit.

“I don’t think I am speaking out of turn in saying that in fact, reports have been made to the police and cases have been compiled for the Public Services Commission.
“There are four persons that are going to face either disciplinary action or criminal prosecution or both,” Barrow said.
Apart from the birth certificate, which says that Mason was born in Crooked Tree village to James Mason and Sharon Tillett, Mason also had documents showing he applied for Belizean nationality in 2013, and gun licenses, which were granted despite important information being missing from his application form.
Mason was arrested and charged in July for the brutal murder of Dangriga Pastor Llewellyn Lucas.

Acting Commissioner of Police Russell Blackett, explained that police had been investigating Mason for some time, but would not arrest him because the layout of his farm on the George Price Highway gave him a tactical advantage over a police raid.
The questionable nature of his documents weren’t investigated until after he was found with pastor Lucas’ head in the back of his pickup truck. truck.
