Shamira Imani Neal will represent Belize at the Miss World Belize/ Miss United Continents 2015. On September 12th Neal will compete in the prestigious international contest in Ecuador against other countries such as USA, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Honduras, Australia, Guatemala and others.
Neal, a 22-year-old, resident of Belize City, has participated in the Queen of the Bay Pageant in 2013 and also holds the title for the first runner up for Miss World Belize 2014- 2015.
Neal is a graduate of Wesley College and is furthering her studies to become an attorney. She currently has a full time job as a customer service representative with the Belize City Council.
Her passions are volleyball and modeling. It is her passion for modeling that drives her to represent and promote Belize nationally and internationally as a beauty ambassador.
It is the aforementioned qualification that entitles Neal to participate in the contest and compete in any of the four beauty contests, namely: Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth and Miss International.
In 2012, Miss World Belize, Chantae Guy of Belmopan represented the country in this contest, which was known at the time as Miss Continente Americano.
Shamira is expected to leave on August 30th for Ecuador. The contest holds special prizes that include a crown worth US$30,000 for the first place winner and several other cash prizes and gifts from companies participating in the event.
A free satellite signal is being offered to Belize and other nations to transmit this event live on television from Ecuador.
