House Sitting held

The House of Representatives met today, Friday in Belmopan.

Prime Minister Dean Barrow, in responding to a concern raised on the de-risking of Belizean banks, said he was preparing to leave along with Ambassador Mark Espat and another advisor to meet with representatives there to work out a possible solution.

PUP’s Area Representative for Toledo West, raised another concern on the prices of fuel, point which drew no responses in the House.

Contractor General, Godwin Arzu and Ombudsman, Lionel Arzu have both been reappointed to their posts.

Legislation was also passed to rename the Belize National Coast Guard service to the Belize Coast Guard.
