San Pedro experiences water shortage

There is reportedly a water crisis in a section of San Pedro Town that has inconvenienced residents needing to shower, do their laundry, cooking and cleaning.
For the past few days, residents in the San Mateo area of the island have been without running water in their homes and businesses and the reason, we understand, is that there is low water pressure in the area.

San Mateo residents have had to resort to going into the streets with buckets, bins and bottles to fill them from a water truck using a hose.

Acclaimed San Pedro Mayor-elect, Daniel Guerrero, whose municipality’s election results are still in question, has told the Reporter that he is aware of the situation in the area and that he is “working on it.” Guerrero declined any further comment on the matter. We will follow up on this issue.
