A popular musician and son of a former minister of government, Lascelle Martinez was stabbed to death on Wednesday afternoon while his girlfriend was also stabbed as a result of a bitter love triangle.

Authorities are currently seeking Simon Lino, who allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Tiannie Figueroa, eight times to her left shoulder and leg, while she was walking along VOA road in Punta Gorda Town, at 12:25 p.m., on  Wednesday.

After stabbing Figueroa, Lino then reportedly jumped into his red pick-up truck in a rage and drove to the corner of West and Victoria Street, where he stabbed Martinez, 36, multiple times to his left ribcage.

Martinez was transported to the Punta Gorda Town Hospital where he died a short while later at 1:02 p.m.

Figueroa and Lino reportedly broke up a couple of months ago and were on bad terms. When Figueroa started dating Martinez, Lino reportedly became enraged.

The entire music industry is grieving the loss of the popular entertainer, who was a member of the Coolie Rebels band and the son of former minister of government, Eden Martinez.

Figueroa remains in a stable condition at the Southern Regional Hospital.

Police say that the motive for the stabbing is jealousy, and PG Police are on a manhunt for Lino.
