Carl “MacGyver” Trapp, 51, was found stabbed to death in the Hyde Building across from the Michael Finnegan Market early on Saturday morning.
Around 7:00 a.m. police responded to a report of a dead body found at the Hyde building. Officers discovered Trapp’s lifeless body on the concrete floor.
He was covered in blood and police observed multiple stab wounds to the left side of his face, below his ears.

According to police, Trapp was serving a five years jail sentence but he was paroled two months ago. While on parole, he had asked an acquaintance of his to reside at the super market and had been living there ever since.

“Somebody came to call him last night. He came out and talked to them. Then he got on his bike and left. He had a key for the place. I have one, and a person that usually comes early in the morning has one also. I didn’t see him until this morning after the incident,” another resident of the building told the Reporter.
Police are now investigating this latest murder.
