Belize City police have charged a Belize City resident who allegedly inflicted multiple chop wound to two individuals while they were socializing at a residence on Central American Boulevard early on Tuesday morning.

Aymon Flores, 22, was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Sharon Frazer last Wednesday on charges of ‘grievous harm’ and ‘use of deadly means of harm’, allegedly committed against 37-year-old David Phillips.

Phillips reported to police that around 1:00 a.m. on November 14th, while he was socializing at a residence, he was attacked by Flores, who chopped him twice on his hand with a machette.

While Phillips was able to provide his statement to police, 24-year-old David Williams is hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, suffering from a cut wound to the left side of his head and another to his left palm, allegedly inflicted by Flores.
Police say that Williams is yet to press charges against the accused for his injuries. Flores was offered bail of $1,000 and his case adjourned until January 31st, 2018.
