Orange Walk police are following a few leads into the shooting murder of businessman, Ricardo Triminio, 57, in Orange Walk Town early Tuesday morning.
Triminio, who owned Munchie’s snack shop at #10 Progress Street, usually kept his small business open late into the night. That was when police believe someone pounced on him.
Triminio’s mother, Vivian Triminio, has said she heard a volley of gunshots around 2 a.m. that morning, but thought nothing of it and went back to sleep.
Six hours later, at around 9 a.m., a sanitation worker sawTriminio’s bullet-riddled body on the floor of the business. He had been shot in the face, chest, left arm and both shoulders.
Police say nothing was stolen in the killing, but have not yet established a motive. The killer did not have to force his way inside the shop because it remained open that night.
No one ib the area heard any commotion outside before the killing that morning.
