Emerson Arnold, 35, was shot and killed as he rode his bicycle along Gibnut Street just before 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
Reports are that another man on a bicycle approached Arnold, who lived on Lakeview Street in the Ghost Town area, and opened fire in his direction.
According to Arnold’s family, he was hit seven times to the back.
Arnold was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead at 6:50 a.m. Residents in the area claim they heard as many as nine shots.
Police Press Officer, Raphael Martinez said police have since detained one person pending investigations.
Arnold’s family says he was not a member of any gang, nor was he known to police. Arnold worked at the same tire shop where Carlos “Zimbab” Abraham was shot a little over a week ago.
