Another government vehicle, a Toyota Hilux pickup truck, has been stolen from off a government compound, this time from the Ministry of Natural Resources.

According to police, a Solid Waste Officer from the Solid Waste Management Department reported to them that on June 26th, more than a month ago, he parked the black 2011 Toyota Hilux with license plate number CY-B-1538 at the Ministry of Lands compound on Queen Elizabeth Boulevard, Belmopan.

According to the officer, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on July 1st he was informed that the vehicle was missing, so he went to confirm and noticed that the truck was gone. The vehicle is a black four-door, double-cab, Hilux with Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) MR0FR22G300588-466. The vehicle also has a gray interior.

The vehicle is the latest in a series of government vehicles that seem to just vanish off government compounds without explanation.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
