Butane prices going up

A country-wide price increase for liquid petroleum gas will take effect on Friday, January 17.
According to the report from the Belize Bureau of Standards, the cost of a hundred pound cylinder of 60 percent butane to 40 percent propane distributed by Belize Gas Limited and Western Gas will increase from $121 to $125.
The cheaper 90 percent butane to 10 percent propane, distributed by BWEL, Southern Choice Gas, Zeta and Tomza, will increase from $116 to $121.
In Belmopan and San Ignacio the price for the 60/40 will now be $127, while the 90/10 will now be $123.
In Benque Viejo Del Carmen the price for a cylinder of 60/40 will now be $128 while the 90/10 will now be $124.
In Orange Walk, the price for the two different types of liquid petroleum will now be $126 and $122, respectively. In Corozal the prices will now be $125 for 60/40 and $121 for 90/10.
In Dangriga, the price for 60/40 will be $129 and $125 for 90/10.
In Punta Gorda the price for 60/40 will be $130 while 90/10 will be $126.
