The Belize Union of Seventh Day Adventists has closed all 25 of their primary, secondary and tertiary schools with a student population of 2,500 for one day in protest of the murder of Teddy Murillo, a 21-year -old University of Belize student and deacon of their church.
The Ministry of Local Government this week announced that village council elections countrywide will take place during seven weeks from April 11th to June 6th, 2010.
